SHS-CHWCB02 – Weighted Containment Boom (3m x 90mm) with Handles & Fasteners
Heavy‑Duty Gel‑Filled Boom for Spill Containment & Turbid Water Control
Overview
The CHWCB02 Weighted Containment Boom is a robust, gel‑filled barrier designed for effective spill containment, silt curtain deployment, and turbid water control in industrial and environmental applications. Measuring 3 metres in length with a 90mm height, it combines a durable 610gsm yellow PVC inner layer with a 260gsm nonwoven geotextile outer layer, offering exceptional strength, UV resistance, and fire‑retardant properties.
Constructed using HF welding and sewing, the boom features three 50mm webbing handles for easy deployment and retrieval. Joinable PVC cuffs allow multiple sections to be connected for extended coverage. The gel‑filled core provides a low profile that conforms to uneven surfaces while maintaining effective containment. Ideal for use in stormwater channels, construction sites, and industrial zones where flexible, weighted barriers are required.
Key Features & Benefits
Gel‑Filled Weighted Core – Provides a low, conformable profile that seals against uneven surfaces without requiring a chain ballast.
Dual‑Layer Construction – Outer 260gsm nonwoven geotextile provides sediment filtration; inner 610gsm yellow PVC offers high strength and chemical resistance.
High Durability – Tensile strength 2400N/5cm (warp & weft), tear strength 450N/400N, and weld adhesion 120N/5cm.
UV & Fire Resistant – 5‑year UV warranty on PVC; self‑extinguishing per AS1530 and NFPA 701‑2004.
Easy Handling – Three 50mm webbing handles for manual placement and retrieval.
Modular Connection – Joinable cuffs allow multiple booms to be linked together for longer barriers.
Australian Made – Manufactured in Australia with compliance to AS 1940 and AS 3780.
